The principality of Bertino
–
With Adam's words, Killian was still thinking, calculating something.
After much contemplation, he opened his mouth to the count.
“Check whether the relationship between Marquis Anais and Duke Kielini, who are brothers-in-law, is still distant.
Duke Martin and Duke Kiellini are on their way to Castle Calen to participate in this summer's hunt.
I don’t know what he’s up to, but he’s not one to think about coming to Bertino because of his daughter’s problems.”
Adam nodded at Killian's instructions and sighed.
“When I received the title of Count of Bertino, I just wanted to get away from my father's hassle, but I couldn't help but come here.”
Killian's right-hand man, who received the title of Count of the Principality of Bertino, stayed at Calen Castle for most of the year.
It was to administer the principality for Prince Killian, the current King of Bertino.
Unlike his older brother, Ronald Julio Martin, Adam grew up as Prince Killian's companion in the Imperial Castle since childhood.
This was the intention of Duke Martin, who was a disciple of the former King of Bertino, Killian's maternal grandfather.
Unlike another subordinate, Oswald, who later volunteered to elect Killian, Adam, who had no choice but to take Killian as his master since he was a child, did not have a good relationship with his father, Duke Martin.
Adam was frustrated to learn that his father Duke Martin was going to Bertino because he was still awkward with the man even though their relationship had improved a lot.
Whether his aide let out a deep sigh or not, Killian stood up as if his business was over.
“I have heard all the urgent reports, so go back to your room now.
I’ll have to rest if I want to move again tomorrow.”
Adam stood up as Killian stared at his bedroom door, looking like a bear hiding a pot of honey.
“Yes, Your Majesty.
I'm really tired, since I overdid it riding today.
See you tomorrow.”
Killian, who almost forced Adam and Albert out, ran back to the room, but his shameless maid changed into her pajamas and slept with even breathing.

“Why are you in this carriage?” As soon as he saw Count Adam on board first, Killian frowned in disapproval.
“There is nothing more substantial on the road than carriage business.
I was wondering if you would like to hear a detailed report on the situation in the principality,” Adam smiled and said to the Prince, who had a slight frown on his face.
Juliet, who came down from cleaning a moment later, hesitated when she saw the strange man she had seen for a moment the night before as she tried to get into the cart in a hurry.
Get out of the driver’s seat!”
When the frightened Juliet got up in a hurry, Killian said bluntly, “How can she hear me outside?
Just leave it.”
Juliet looked the other way at the Prince's command.
Killian's large hand tugged on her arm as Juliet rose at the silent command.
“Your Highness, how can a maid sit with you?
Please send her here.”
Killian said to Adam as if he was irritating, speaking gravely, “Count, don’t expect to be served by my maid in the carriage, bring your own servant.”
“Unfortunately, this morning I sent my servant on a mission.
He will join me in Beopash tonight.”
Killian nodded reluctantly.Between Killian, who seemed in a bad mood, and Count Adam, who continued talking despite everything, the group continued on their journey without much difficulty.

Beopash was the second busiest city after Ricaren, capital of the Principality of Bertino.
It only took four or five hours from the village where they stayed last night and, as they were due to arrive in Beopash for lunch, the carriage drove without pausing along the very clean forest road.
Count Adam, who had been reporting various problems for a long time, suddenly coughed.
“I've been talking a lot and I'm getting thirsty.
Your Highness, why don’t we take a break for a cup of tea?”
Juliet, who thought it was time for the prince to have his tea, put her hand on the button of her dress to take out the glass bottle.
Killian looked at Juliet at her action and rushed his words to stop her from acting.
“Count, we will arrive in Beopash soon.
Put up with it.
My maid caused a major burn while preparing my tea in a moving carriage.
Because of this, I have decided to refrain from drinking tea in the carriage in the future.”
Juliet almost snorted in dismay at her brazen boss's words.
‘
I don't know who's drinking several cups of tea a day in the cart, then?'
It was simply absurd to realize that it was dangerous to drink hot tea in a moving carriage.
As Juliet chattered inside, Adam let out a sad sigh.
“Damn, I’m sorry to hear that.
It was weird when I couldn't see Jeff and I saw a maid that I hadn't seen around you.
So I can’t drink tea, but I will have to drink some water.”
When Count Adam seemed to be asking for water, Juliet took out only a bottle of water without a cup from the box containing the tea and handed it to the count.
Adam's expression was distorted when he saw a rough-looking bottle of water that she handed over so rudely.
Although she worked as the Prince's maid, she was not yet used to serving the nobility, so she committed the act unconsciously.
“What an arrogant girl you are!
Do you want me to put my mouth on a bottle of water and drink it?
Your Highness, where the hell did you get this illiterate maid?”
When Adam's voice boomed through the carriage, Killian's poorly drawn eyebrows shot back.
“Count, there is a situation that we cannot control when we travel.
Drinking with your mouth from a water bottle for a day doesn’t mean you’re going to die, so let it go.”
‘Since when is this noble and arrogant prince so generous?
From childhood, the three of us grew up together: Marquis Rhodius, the prince and me.
Few knew when the Prince lost his virginity, what he likes and dislikes and what he thinks.’
‘Killian used only the finest porcelain cups and cutlery sets during his travels, and water for drinking must be prepared separately at the Imperial Castle and included in the procession of two carriages carrying only water.’
‘It’s a precious rule that the chef follows wherever he goes and cooks and serves with the best quality ingredients that come his way.
Why else are all those carts behind the Prince’s cart?’
When he heard such sounds of 'inevitable circumstances' from Killian's mouth, Adam wanted to laugh maniacally.
He quickly accepted a bottle of water from Juliet to cover his trembling mouth.
Adam, who was an expert at hiding his laughter, observed the maid in front of him.
She was much calmer than yesterday.
But she still had wiry hair and horrible glasses that covered half her face, and a big, thick body that was no smaller than Killian's broad shoulders.
‘What characteristics of this maid caught the prince’s generosity and attention?’
Adam was busy looking at the maid who was sitting properly here and there, not noticing Killian looking at him.
