The principality of Bertino
–
Killian, who could no longer stand Adam keeping his eyes on Juliet even after drinking water, responded sharply, “Count, I would like you to finish your report if you have reanimated her throat.”
Upon hearing Killian's shrill voice, Adam, looking at Juliet, quickly asked back, “Yes?
Oh, Your Highness.
Yes.
I'll finish the report.
How far have I come?”
“After reporting the list of nobles who would attend this summer’s hunting competition, you stopped.”
Adam smiled and said in a voice that didn't hide the fact that he was so furious he could spit nails,
“Yes, I already told you that.
So I have to say this too: Prince Francis must also attend.”
“What?
Does he come to Bertino?
No way!
It can’t be!”
“But he comes.
He has to come because of Lady Anais, even if he doesn't want to come.”
“The target must have been changed to your cousin, Lady Anais.
Is it because of the rumors with Lady Haint and Count Derio?
I don't think he will follow these rumors.
Were there any other variables?”
Adam nodded when the Prince asked about the report he had received before leaving for Bertino.
“Yes, that's the second reason I had to run to you yesterday.
According to a message from Marquis Rhodius, Lady Haint is pregnant.
They say it’s information that few people know.”
“Spenser must have had a hard time figuring it out.”
“It shouldn't have been so difficult.
Your dear Moira is now Duke Haint’s concubine.”
"Who?"
At Killian's tepid question, Adam shook his head in embarrassment.
“Your Highness, you must remember the names of the women you have had.
I don't know when, but I know she's one of the women warming his bed.
Killian frowned slightly.
“I can’t remember.”
“You don’t want to remember or you don’t really remember?”
“Think of it however you want.”
Julietta casually opened her mouth when she saw Killian turning his head out the window, as if Adam's questioning was annoying.
“It was exactly two months ago.”
‘Oh no, that poor mouth.’
The exact date came out of Juliet's mouth.
When she quickly glanced at the prince's gaze, the count was happy to ask back, "Oh, how do you know?"
Juliet quickly lowered her head, blaming herself for not being careful with Adam's question.
Adam spoke softly to her as she avoided his eyes.
“I won't scold you, so tell me.
It is your duty as a maid to tell you what His Highness does not remember.
Isn’t that true, Your Highness?”
Juliet looked at the silent Killian, then looked carefully at Adam again.
He smiled at her, shaking his head as if to say immediately.
“When I was working at the Bertino mansion on Harrods Street, I was looking after her tea.”
“Oh, so you used to work at that mansion, right?”
Adam quickly helped her.
Juliet once again looked at her boss and responded to the count.
“Yes.
Miss Moira was expelled after getting angry with His Highness for something unpleasant, but before that I worked as a maid, looking after her tea.”
Last time had been bad, but she had been doing really well before that.
“Oh, you were the private maid who was on duty in His Highness’s room.
So, it wasn't difficult for you to work?
”
“It wasn't difficult at all, except getting the ladies out of His Highness's room.
His Highness was so incomparable that my legs felt a little numb when it took too long.”
When Killian's eyes grew wider at Juliet's words, Adam burst into laughter that he had kept silent until then.
If Albert saw him now, he might have screamed.
“Was he so incomparable?”
“Phew, don’t even talk.
I never knew a man could do this for so long and it's really possible.
Once, sex wasn't the end of the show.
Some days he wouldn't rest until dawn, doing it three or four times.I was surprised because it was very different from what I knew.”
Juliet began to move her mouth, which she had long wanted to talk to someone about, as the prince made no specific movement to stop her.
Killian listened to Juliet's admiration calmly, embarrassed but not in a bad mood, but he was stunned by the last words.
“Is it different from what you know?
How do you know that?”
Adam interjected with Killian's question as if it were natural.
“Wow, Your Highness.
Why are you asking her about this?
She knows because she has experience.”
At Adam's words, Juliet tried to say no, but she shut up.
‘I have seen so many things in the past that I know them well.
But I don't have any real experience...' she couldn't say that.
‘Indirect experience is also experience.’
When Juliet smiled as she thought it wasn't a lie, Adam smiled as if he was right, but Killian's feelings were bad without knowing why.
Adam was disturbed when he saw Killian, who felt both joy and sadness at the rapid change, not angry at the maid's abandoned remarks.
It wasn't the prince he knew.
What he saw last night was not wrong, and he looked at the ugly maid again with a serious face.
‘Is Your Highness serious?
Am I right about what I thought?
‘
The image of Killian from yesterday and today was not the one he had seen since childhood.
He also wanted to make fun of him, which was totally different from the image of someone who had a suitable relationship with the right woman at the right time.
But the more he saw of Killian's reactions, the more serious Adam became.
He didn't seem to realize it, but his actions were exactly like those of a male in mating season.
Adam was starting to worry about Killian, who seemed to be stuck in the wrong place, at the wrong time, in the wrong way.
Thinking that His Highness's new mistress might be an ugly maiden, he was also worried about having to find a way to avoid the gossip of his political opponents as well.
Because of the seemingly unhappy prince and the serious count, the carriage's mood became quiet and Juliet began to read their countenances.
After she slept and woke up in the same room while traveling with the Prince, the fear and vigilance of her Princehood disappeared.
‘How can you loosen your tongue?
You know where it is!’
Living a long and peaceful life was the goal of life, but at this moment, it seemed that her old Jenna personality remained the same to her.
Juliet once again reflected deeply on her ability to drive a nail into her own coffin...

Meanwhile, the carriage arrived at its destination.
As he got out of the carriage, he saw the most luxurious accommodations he had ever stayed in.
It was the second largest city, close to the capital, and the hotel was definitely different in size.
Juliet looked at the prince's back, who entered his chambers without saying a word.
He seemed to be very angry about her rude comments.
The huge three-story chalet had a lounge on the first floor, like a modern hotel, with many people actively moving from one side to the other.
Nowadays, when they arrived at an inn, the prince used to wait for her to pick up her luggage in front of the stairs leading to the room and carry it upstairs.
However, Juliet couldn't find him anywhere and was a little embarrassed.
She looked across the wide first floor with her heart as if she were a child who had lost her mother, but she couldn't see the beautiful black-haired figure.
After a moment of hesitation, Juliet looked at the elegantly stretched stairs on one side of the room and continued with a dead look.
