“I wonder if she’ll accept it.”
Iris was a lady who grew up surrounded by the best from birth.
She didn't like the clothes of the other designers in Vicern which was considered a step down in fashion, preferring the clothes of Madame Louai, who was now famous for being the best local designer.
Simone responded coldly to Vera's concern: “It all started because she wanted it.
She will have to bear everything.”
Vera looked at her master with a slightly surprised look.
Her master had little affection, so she was even mean to Vera, who took care of her for a long time.
Even so, she felt that her master was showering all her affection and attention on her niece, Miss.
Regina, but lately Simone's behavior had become increasingly questionable.
‘Was there any change in your mind yesterday when you saw your niece for the first time in two months?
Or is she blaming the girl for causing this?'
Vera looked closely at her master and turned to the new mistress, who already had a bored expression as she sat on her bed.
She compared the original lady Iris, who thought it was natural for someone to die for her, and the new girl Juliet, who explained her disguised appearance out of fear that someone she had never met would be killed because of her, and shook her head.
She was just a servant who did what she was told to do from above.
She didn't need personal feelings.
Vera closed her mind again, lowered her gaze and recorded Simone's continuous orders in her thoughts.

Francis
Francis looked out the carriage window at Calen Castle with an unpleasant expression on his face.
“That stupid bitch.” He was deeply offended by Christine, who followed Killian to Bertino to find him.
“Anyway, you should check out Bertino once.
Think of it as a preview of the treasure that will one day be your land.” Marquis Marius dropped the document he was holding at his side, taking off his glasses.
“The problem is that the stupid bitch is completely obsessed with Killian.”
“So, you came here.
Show fear to the lady who doesn’t know what the world is like.”
“Why did the Duke of Kiellini come to Bertino?
Will he support Killian?”
“The succession is worrying for the Duke.
He needs more control of his own family.
“It is the Duke of Kielini, who has wealth equal to Killian.
Furthermore, even if he resigns, he was the former head of the administration and second in protocol.
It's a good thing if he backs down now, but if he sides with Killian, it will be difficult for us.”
The mother of the current Emperor Claudius was from the Kiellini family.
If the Duke of Kiellini, the Emperor's cousin and the Empress's former maternal family, supported Killian, the already inclined Emperor would lean even more.
“He would not want to intervene in a dangerous war on the imperial throne, even for his sick daughter.
Rumor has it that she will die sooner or later.
Don't worry.”
“If Kiellini shows any sign of supporting Killian, send someone to Tília.
It's a problem if a girl who can't behave like a normal person dies.
I don't want to have a scarecrow who can't have a child as a princess.
Perhaps it would be better to kill Iris and make Viscount Raven the duke.”
“Even though it is easy to kill the lady, it is difficult to deal with the duke.
Even though Mr.
Raven is named successor, it is only after the Duke's death that he receives the title.
It's a situation where we don't know what time it is and it can be counterproductive.
If there are doubts about the princess's sudden death, the Duke's blade will be directed here, as well as the possibility of Viscount Raven being stripped of his position as successor.
I would rather find a way to reconcile with the Duke.”
“Will I marry the Kiellini girl?”
Faced with Francis's sarcasm, Marquis Marius spoke seriously: “I don't think it's a bad idea.
You don’t care about the prophecy the fortune teller spoke about thirteen years ago, anyway?”
“Are you kidding me?
Do you want me to be a nurse for a girl who is sick and is going to die?
And remember the old woman's other prophecy.
This is something that not even the emperor knows.”
* * * * *Twelve years earlier, the Duke of Dudley brought the fortune teller who appeared on the late Empress's birthday, had a private meeting with the Emperor, and left the Imperial Castle.
He asked what he had said to the emperor, but he would not open his mouth, and he tortured him and learned that there were two prophecies.
And the second prophecy is that the Prince of birth of the right lineage will be the Emperor.” The old man added after a moment, “The second prophecy is the one I didn’t tell the emperor.”
“Why?
Why are you telling me about a prophecy that you didn’t tell His Majesty?” Duke Dudley narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
“The second prophecy was unclear.
Such are the prophecies.
It's not exactly about showing, it's about following people's conversations or something similar in another medium.
In the second prophecy, I only heard the words of those who rejoiced at the rise of the right descendant of the direct bloodline after a long time.
I could not give the Emperor an inaccurate prophecy.”
“Why did you tell me?”
“There is only one reason for an astrologer to say an incorrect prophecy.
That’s when I want to create chaos with this prophecy!”
Duke Dudley burst into laughter, wondering if the old soothsayer had gone mad from torturing him.
“There is nothing to be confused by your prophecy.
“I suppose so.”
“What does it matter whether the direct descendant becomes the emperor or the concubine’s son becomes the emperor.
They are all children of the emperor anyway.”
The old man smiled meaningfully at the Duke, who snorted as if he wasn't interested.
The old man, born in Bertino, was the best guesser in the Empire.
His relationship was not revealed to the public, but he was a man who only served the Bertino family.
One day, eight years ago, the Emperor saved the Empress from an assassin because of the old man's prophecy.
She was in the last month of her pregnancy and could not conceive a baby after that, but the emperor, who loved the empress very much, did not mind at all.
The old man lost his eyesight upon becoming involved in someone's fate, but he was able to remain in the Imperial Castle after being credited with saving the Empress's life.
Duke Dudley noticed that the old man had disappeared after the Empress's death and then reappeared and found the Emperor.
He thought that the old man who had disappeared so suddenly had visited the emperor because he had something important to say, and he was right.
Duke Dudley tried to detain the old man in a remote area to use his visionary powers.
But the old man disappeared in the middle of the journey and so far they have not been able to find out where he was.

As Francis remembered the prophecy he had heard from Duke Dudley as a child, Marquis Marius nodded and continued to speak: “It is one way to get to the Kiellini family, but we have no choice, because it cannot produce an heir.”
Francis looked at Marquis Marius, who spoke emotionlessly, as if he was picking up things from the market.
“Are you sure she can’t get pregnant?
If it is the wrong information, it is completely useless to go to Bertino to find Christine and put any effort into Princess Haint.”
