Calen Castle
–
When Adam stood up with a nod, Oswald helped.
“For some reason I will have to visit old Calf when the Duke arrives.
The old man will love it if I tell him about the new jewelry store that Grupo Empresarial Bertino is going to open.
After meeting him, I will stop in Manol for lunch.”
Adam nodded intelligently when he mentioned Ricaren's most famous restaurant.
That's where Martin, who arrived early tonight, is resting because he didn't feel well.
Talk to the servants and maids not to walk around or go to the place where the Duke rests.
And Count Adam hasn't left the castle today.
Do you understand?
From this point forward, no one can enter or leave this office.
Only Albert and his servant serve me.”
As soon as Killian finished speaking, Adam stood up, opened a secret passage connected to the bookshelf in his office, and disappeared.
“What if Duke Martin doesn’t arrive in time?”
Killian smiled coldly at Oswald's question.
“What do you think I’m going to do?”
Oswald gave a deep sigh at the cold reaction.
“He will have to bring back Duke Martin at all costs.”
Oswald asked Albert: “Sir Albert, make bitter tea so that my tongue can be pulled out, so that I cannot doze off because of the bitter taste.”
“You don’t have to sit around.” Killian clicked his tongue as Oswald took a sip of the tea Albert placed in front of him, watching Oswald shudder.
“I'm sorry for you, Your Highness.
Does that mean you don’t need it, Oswald?”
Oswald, who pushed the tea to the other side, glared and clutched his chest, as if he had been betrayed greatly.
Killian raised his hand to silence Oswald, who was still trying to say something.
“I was deeply impressed by the Marquis’s loyalty.
I wasn't worried about anything.
Get the tea you're supposed to drink.
You are my best friend, since you ordered the tea to stay up all night.”
Oswald was frowning at Killian's encouragement.
Soon, when the tea that had been pushed was back in front of him, Killian nodded, saying "Let's go." So Oswald drank a cup of tea with tears and was forced to stay awake all night.
Killian, who had been lost in thought until late at night without moving, suddenly stood up from his seat.
“Don’t stop me.”
Oswald shrugged at the sudden bluff.
“Your Highness, I am not Adam.
Please do not carry a sword noisily as before, but go and see her and not be seen by others.
If you had done this sooner, he wouldn’t have stopped you so desperately.”
Oswald rose gracefully and opened the Oval Office window.
“Your Highness, this road is not that bad either.
The moon isn't shining today, so it's even better.
I will take good care of you.”
Oswald jumped over the window and looked at Killian.
“Please come, Your Highness.
Albert, give me that tablecloth.”
As Albert pushed the vase away in a mess and took out the purple cloth and handed it to him, Oswald threw the cloth over his head and looked at Killian.
Looking at him acting so ridiculous, Killian shook his head once and jumped out the window.
Your Highness, let’s go.”
Watching Oswald, who was leading the way with a light step while wearing a dark purple tablecloth to hide his blonde hair, Killian's eyes narrowed to see if Oswald was enjoying the situation.
“Isn’t a dark night very good without the moon?” Oswald was quick to take a walk without saying a word, but he suddenly talked about a dark night walk.
Killian, impatient with Juliet, who was locked in a dark, damp cell, frowned.
“Now make a decision.
Even if you are Her Majesty's favorite son and the most likely candidate for Crown Prince, you still aren't.
Furthermore, you do not desire the position of an emperor.” Oswald still spoke lightly, as if he were talking about the landscape around him.
The same thing will happen again and again like today, and you can only step aside and see your people removed for slander.”
Oswald stopped walking and looked around at Killian when he saw the building with the underground prison.
“The target could be Adam, it could be me, or it could be Valerian.
Even a young prison employee doesn’t know what else to get involved in, even if she gets out safely today.”
Oswald smiled at his Lord, who stood erect in a dark night.
“Please be the emperor, Your Highness.”

“Open the door.”
The knights were surprised to see their monarch appearing late at night.
The sinner in prison was considered his maid, and he must have come here to examine the situation for himself.
After a knight rushed to open the prison's iron door and got down in front, a head guard who was dozing nearby woke up in surprise.
Under the knight's gaze, the guards illuminated the dark prison with the lamps hanging in the corridor.
As he passed through the damp hallway with heavy steps and finally reached the room at the end, she was visible sitting in a corner with her face buried in her knees.
“Juliet.”
Killian ordered the guards to hastily open the door and entered the cell.
Oswald sent the head of the guard, the knight and the guards away, then followed them.
“Juliet.”
Juliet did not lift her head despite his call.
He shook her shoulders gently, and her brick-colored hair was lifted urgently.
“Your Highness?”
“Julie…”
Although she seemed to have fallen asleep crying and had two tear trail lines on her dark face, Killian just looked at her in a sad way, unable to think that it was strange.
“Your Highness, are you here to get me out of here?
Turns out I didn't do that, right?
Oh!
Thank God.
I can’t figure out why she lied like that…”
Juliet, who deeply believed that Killian had come to the prison to rescue her, stood up in a hurry spitting out words full of joy.
Killian calmed Juliet in a sad manner, patting her shoulder gently.
“Not yet.
I couldn't find anyone who had witnessed the scene.
But don’t worry, I’ll make sure you get out of here tomorrow night.”
When Albert arrived, she was hesitant to ask Marquis Anais for help.
His daughter, who was an illegitimate child but had inherited his blood, was accused and arrested.
But the only words from the worried Juliet were just “Does Your Highness know?”
When Albert said he would introduce himself to His Highness, Juliet just waited.
There was hope that she would leave soon after a good meal that was incomparable to her usual food.
But as the night deepened, his hope turned to despair.
She deeply trusted her employer, who had been very friendly to her.
Somewhere in her heart, the hope that he would come to her rescue gradually turned into disappointment in him.
Julieta thought about asking to see the marquis as soon as dawn came.
She also decided that she would stop being a grumpy maid immediately and return to Austern.
If her money was not enough for her debt to Maribel, even after receiving her compensation, she decided to borrow from the marquis.
If the marquis said that he had done everything he had to do as a father because he saved her and that he couldn't even lend her money, she would run away.
Maybe she could work hard and pay off, even if it took a while.
She thought she should live for now.
She didn't know what else would be at risk if she continued working for this high-status employer.
She felt sorry for losing the high salary, but it was not worth more than her life.
