Scarlett cried so hard that she exhausted herf and fell asleep again.
I woke up in the afternoon and got up quickly: “Issac?”
She was lying on the bed covered, while Isaac was still sitting in a chair by the window looking out.
When she called his name, Isaac looked at her and smiled: “Did you sleep well?”
When she saw his eyes, Scarlett ran over and hugged him warmly.
More than half of the worms in his eyes disappeared, and his wine-colored eyes appeared among them.
Issac said: “I see better than last night, and the pain has lessened a lot.”
"Really?
How much do you see?"
“Things are still not clear, but...it will get better.”
Isaac spoke and smiled.
Scarlett looked at him with a surprised and happy face.
Then Isaac said: “Aren’t my eyes disgusting?”
“No, they're not like that at all.
They're much smaller compared to the beginning.”
"That's good.
I still can't see clearly, but I'm thinking this stuff makes my eyes feel better... doesn't it feel kind of nice?"
Scarlett laughed cheerfully at his joke, then suddenly got up and said, “However, let’s go eat something delicious.”
“Really?”
“Yes.
At Liv Bakery, they l grilled sandwiches for lunch at twelve o’clock.
They are very delicious.
Let’s go.”
“It looks delicious!”
Isaac followed Scarlett excitedly.
At first he tried to walk using his eyes, but the blurring of objects made it more dangerous than walking with his eyes closed.
In the end, he bandaged his eyes again and moved with his cane.
Meanwhile, Scarlett hurriedly descended the stairs, while Andrei was greeted by a classy-looking lady.
Andrei clicked his tongue and said to the customer: “You don't think this fool is our boss, do you?”
The customer laughed, so Scarlett ran over and hugged Andrei, then asked the customer: “Can I hug you too?”
“Sounds like something good?”
“Yes, very”
“Then, of course”
The customer laughed cheerfully, so Scarlett hugged her and then let her go.
After a while, Isaac came down, dressed elegantly, and said to Andrei: “My sister is giving you a lot of trouble, isn’t she, Mr.
Andrei?”
“Luckily there is someone who understands that.”
The two men laughed as they joked with her, so Scarlett hit them both lightly.
But she quickly rushed with Isak to Lev's bakery, overwhelmed with happiness.
When she saw Liv, who was ling sandwiches and chatting with customers, she called her Scarlett.
Liv froze when she saw Scarlett and Isaac with his bandaged eyes, and so did the other customers.
Scarlett whispered to Isaac: “Because of you, I will suffer from now on.”
“Why?”
“You will know”
Scarlett laughed with uncontrollable happiness.
For a few days, Isaac recovered at Scarlett's house.
Progress was slow, but the fact that his condition did not deteriorate was enough to make them happy.
After living in darkness for so long, Issac was quite content with his current state.
Early in the morning, as Isaac was preparing to go to work on the rafts, Scarlett asked him anxiously: “Shouldn’t you rest more?”
Isaac shook his head: “I want to work.”
“Well…no choice then.
Go, but be careful.”
Isaac smiled and nodded.
Before, Scarlett would have been worried, but she saw that Isaac was not weak.
She also realized that making rafts had become an important part of his life after spending so much time locked in the attic.
Isaac looked at Scarlett again with his eyes.
As he approached her, he could see her face blurry.
He felt happy and laughed nonstop.
Scarlett laughed and turned his body: “Stop staring.”
“I can't, it's strange to see you.”
Isaac stumbled while speaking, so he smiled shyly at Scarlett's frown and ran forward.
After he left, Scarlett sat in front of the store helplessly: “This is true.”
She was so happy that Isaac could see, but pain flowed from the corner of her heart.
“I really sold Victor for the medicine...”
Because of her greed, she brought down the ladder that Victor had been climbing all his life.
“Sorry, Victor.”
She buried her face in her knees and muttered: “Really, really sorry...”
She was worried about Isak's early return to work, and her feelings of guilt towards Victor made her unable to concentrate on her work.
“Maybe rest would be more efficient.”
As soon as I thought of that, I got ready to go out and sneaked down the stairs.
Andrei, who was carefully cleaning the showcase, looked at her and said: “Where to?”
“I'll play with Lev for a bit, make sure Isak does well...is that okay?”
“Come back early”
Andrei didn't complain, perhaps because he felt she needed a break.
Scarlett smiled sarcastically: “Should I bring a gift?”
“My gift is that you work hard to raise my salary.”
“You have no romance”
“Nothing is more romantic than a salary increase.”
Scarlett left the store feeling upset by Andrei's cold response.
The chosen place to chat with Leif was an ice cream shop run by Nicholas, a former ship's sniper, titled "Uncle Marine's Ice Cream Shop."
When Scarlett entered, Nicholas rushed to greet her: “You're finally here, Miss Scarlett!
I've been waiting for you!”
His wife Mackenzie heard his booming voice, so she came out to greet her as well.
When Scarlett saw her pregnant belly, she shouted: “Sit down, why did you come out?”
“How do I sit when you come?
After you fixed my husband’s prosthetic arm, he became more active.
He says scooping ice cream has become easier.”
Mackenzie spoke excitedly and prepared a special window seat for the two guests.
A yellow soap flower basket and a wheat tablecloth were reminiscent of a simple country scene.
Liv lowered her voice and said: “The store is very beautiful, but the name doesn’t suit it.”
“Indeed”
Scarlett laughed in agreement.
Ice cream came.
Thanks to Isaac's improved eyes, Scarlett was very happy and constantly laughed while eating.
Liv lightly stroked her hand: “Be careful.”
“Ah, that hurts!”
“Don't pretend...”
Nicholas, who was preparing more ice cream, shuddered at the sight.
Scarlet Crimson used to laugh like an ordinary girl, but until recently she was the mistress of the great Doomfelt family.
However, the people of Seventh Street, including Liv, were not wary of Scarlett.
Some even mocked her.
Her divorce from Victor was known in the capital, and the impression was that she had been fired rather than divorced.
But to those around Captain Victor, Scarlett still had a huge influence on him.
Maybe she was the only one who had an “influence” on him.
However, it was certain that Victor would not remain idle if he knew that someone, even jokingly, dared to touch Scarlett like that.
