# Chapter 37
Chapter 37
It had already been ten days since Bunny started selling food from a small corner at the entrance of the mansion where the test was being held.
During that time, there had been some commotion.
Someone had insulted Aaron, calling him an unlucky beast while he was helping to manage the line, only to be told by Bunny that they couldn’t buy anything.
“I’m not selling to you.”
“What?
Why?!
I have money!”
“Aaron, Bunny’s brother.
I don’t sell to mouths that speak such nasty words.”
“What kind of nonsense is that?
It’s true he’s a beast!
He’s not even human or an animal...!”
What did Bunny say to the much larger boy, who was at least twice his size?
Bunny just stared at him for a moment, then smirked and shrugged before turning his head and saying:
“I don’t like you because you’re ugly.
Ugly isn’t human.
Aaron is handsome.”
“Hah?!
Do you think just because you have a mouth, you can say anything?!”
“You said Bunny’s brother isn’t human.
Well, you’re ugly, so you’re not human either.
Get lost, ugly pig.
Bunny only looks at cute and handsome things.”
“What, like you’re so good-looking!
You look like squished dough, ugly!”
“Yup.
Bunny’s super cute.
Your face is totally wrecked.”
After seeing a boy much larger than Bunny lose a verbal battle with him, no one dared speak rudely to Aaron again.
People might talk behind his back, but no one dared insult him openly anymore.
After that, Aaron started calling Bunny “my little brother, my little brother” even more proudly, puffing out his chest.
It was an extreme level of overprotection.
“Each person can only buy up to three items.
There are more people now, so we have no choice,” Aaron said.
Complaints rose from all around, but it was better to get a little bit each day than to not eat anything at all.
After all, Bunny’s “Spiral Potatoes” were incredibly delicious.
The “Sweet Potato Honey Treat” he had sold for two days before was already famous among the children who had tried it.
There were even rumors that the boy who had fought with Bunny was struggling with whether he should apologize because he couldn’t stop thinking about the Spiral Potatoes.
And that wasn’t all.
There were rumors that the menu changed sometimes, so by around 5 p.m. every day, more and more kids would linger around the entrance for no reason.
Spiral Potatoes were thinly sliced potatoes spun around a long wooden skewer, fried, and sprinkled with sugar or sweet corn powder.
“It’s a secret recipe Lurie taught me.”
Bunny learned how to cut the potatoes in perfect spirals without breaking them from Luriel.
Because Bunny was a genius who could master things after seeing them just once!
Bunny had sharp eyes.
If he saw something once, he could copy it.
And since Luriel had made this a few times, Bunny had become a genius at making it.
Of course, he couldn’t use fire by himself because if a little kid tried, a Red Dragon might appear, so he needed help with that.
After the crowd had passed, Bunny let out a deep sigh.
“Can I have just one too, miss?”
“Jesse!”
“Here’s 10 loasts, right?”
“Yes!”
Bunny grabbed a Spiral Potato and handed it to Jesse.
Looking at the basket full of coins, Bunny laughed.
Only three were left.
“Bunny’s one, Melissa’s one, and Aaron’s one...”
Should I stop for today?
After selling for 40 minutes straight, Bunny was exhausted.
Yawn.
As Bunny yawned and rubbed his eyes, thinking it was time to stop, another customer arrived.
“Hello, cousin.
Can you give me three too?”
“Yes.”
Bunny replied as he tilted his head at the newcomer.
“Cousin?”
“Yep.
You guys are the distant relatives Uncle just adopted, right?”
He had tanned skin, silver hair, and blue eyes.
Even at a glance, he was big and tall, at least a head taller than Aaron.
“I wanted to say hi.
And I heard you were selling something delicious.
Though you seem dumber than I expected.”
“Huh?”
Bunny tilted his head again as he handed over the Spiral Potatoes.
Did I hear that wrong?
Bunny scratched his ears.
Crunch.
The boy took a bite of the potato, and his eyes widened a little.
“Oh, it’s better than I thought.
I thought it’d be low-quality food, but it’s not bad.
Nice to meet you.
I’m Calbard Yudia, the son of Klein Yudia, the head of the Holy Knights.
That makes us cousins.”
Bunny blinked.
Why did that make him feel bad?
As Bunny stood with his arms crossed, deep in thought, Aaron stepped forward.
“Why are you here?
Don’t say pointless stuff and get lost.”
“Oh, the family’s pet can talk?
I didn’t think you’d get adopted...
Uncle sure is odd.
But you’ve grown.
You can even look me in the eye.
I guess the beating you got during the rank battle didn’t teach you enough.”
Despite the calm, soft tone, every word was sharp and thorny.
“I told you, I just came to see your faces.
I wanted to meet our youngest cousin.”
Calbard leaned down and patted Bunny’s hair, smirking.
Bunny’s eyebrows shot up.
“Bunny doesn’t like him.”
“So, are you selling this cheap food because you’re a bastard?
It suits you.
Sitting on the ground selling stuff.
Anyway...
The Sacred Beast Summoning is over, so you’ll be in the ranking match soon, right?”
Ranking match?
Bunny tilted his head.
He looked at Calbard for a moment, then turned and tugged on Aaron’s sleeve.
“What is it, Bunny?”
Aaron saw Bunny, who had frozen up and lowered himself almost to his knees, grinning as he looked into Bunny’s eyes.
Calbard froze for a moment.
“What’s up with this guy?
He used to always walk around with his head down, acting tough...”
When did he start standing tall and smiling like that?
Calbard clenched his fists, lightly biting his lower lip, and smirked.
“I want to go now.
It’s time for Bunny’s human language study.”
“Alright!
Let’s go.
Are we going to see Dad?”
“No.
To Bunny’s room.”
“Alright, I’ll take you there.”
With a smile, Aaron packed up everything like a servant and followed Bunny closely.
“Are you ignoring me?”
“Yup.”
Bunny answered shortly, waving his finger left and right.
“Bunny doesn’t talk to dumb people who say mean things.
I’m an adult!”
Heh.
Bunny smirked and turned his body with a twirl.
Calbard’s face twisted as he watched Aaron run after Bunny, holding his small hand.
