# Chapter 19
Chapter 19
"And about that thing you summoned.
I’ve never seen an egg like that before, so I’m not sure.
Is the egg itself a sacred item, or does a divine beast hatch from it?"
After Ludbreed Yudia’s lengthy explanation, Bunny chuckled and proudly puffed out her chest.
"A Hoo-gyum Dragon will be born."
“…Hoo-gyum Dragon…”
Ludbreed Yudia, with slightly blurred eyes, gazed blankly at the egg that had grown to the size of a chicken egg in Bunny's hands.
“…I see.”
Looking at Bunny’s sparkling eyes, Ludbreed quietly picked up a pen and paper.
[Holy Artifact: Egg of the Hoo-gyum Dragon]
Ludbreed, now with slightly dead eyes, calmly gazed out the window, pushed aside the papers and pen, and spoke.
“Would you like a snack?
I’ll bring some juice too.”
The moment Ludbreed Yudia subtly offered, Bunny snorted with a smirk.
“Bunny is not a baby, so no snacks or juice for me.
I’m a magnificent adult.”
Bunny, who proudly evaded the trap, answered while twitching her cheek.
Gulp.
Of course, despite her words, she swallowed her saliva at the sweet scent filling the air.
Ludbreed Yudia wasn’t one to miss such an obvious gesture.
“Then I’ll pack some for you to take with you.”
At Ludbreed’s gentle suggestion, Bunny hesitated for a moment.
Her eyes landed on the plate Ludbreed Yudia was holding.
“Is that all?
Last time, I got scolded a lot for eating the snacks in front of me without permission.”
Bunny deliberated.
‘It should be fine since I’m not eating it right now, right?’
Bunny would eat it later in her room anyway!
Bunny quickly made her decision in less than 10 seconds, stretched out her hand, and smiled brightly.
“Yes!”
As long as she wasn’t eating it immediately, it was safe!
Everything’s fine!
Ludbreed Yudia covered his face with his hands for a long time, then called a servant and gave an order.
“Fel, fill a basket with these and send them with her.”
“Yes, master.”
This was the moment when Ludbreed Yudia’s unwritten rule — not to give anything extra to the children taking the trial in the mansion — was broken.
* * *
Recently, a remarkable sensation had taken over the large marketplace in Ludbreed's duchy.
It was a snack called “Sweet Potato Honey Fry.” Surprisingly affordable, innovative, and simply delicious.
It had become so popular that even the nearby market vendors had all tried it at least once.
A super cute child selling a delicious snack?
Honestly, there was no reason not to buy it.
Every morning, Bunny would chop up sweet potatoes, gather them in a bowl, and bring them to Luca, the youngest chef.
He would fry them, then coat them in a sauce Bunny had prepared.
Afterward, Bunny and Allen would sell them together, earning a decent profit before heading home.
Late at night, Bunny, who had stuffed pillows under her blanket to make a decoy, quietly sneaked out of the room and slipped into the garden of the Duke’s mansion.
Carrying a rabbit-shaped bag, Bunny glanced around and tiptoed forward.
The most important ingredients in the “Sweet Potato Honey Fry” were, of course, sweet potatoes and honey.
Bunny personally gathered all the ingredients.
Sweet potatoes were always bought from the market, but honey was hard to come by if there were no bees nearby, so Bunny had learned from Luriel how to extract tree sap.
Luckily, in the garden near the trial mansion, there were a few trees that Luriel had shown Bunny could be used to extract sap.
Bunny set down the empty container near the tree and opened the lid.
She placed her small hand on the thick bark and closed her eyes.
“Tree, I’ll just take a little bit.”
A small light spread from Bunny’s hand and slowly seeped into the tree.
“Pong-pong magic!”
Pong-pong magic was one of the spells Luriel had taught Bunny.
It allowed her to pull water from an object she touched and have it gush from her hand.
Sap began to flow from the tree and gushed from Bunny’s hand into the container.
Bunny smiled as she carefully filled the first container, then the second, and finally the third.
“It’ll only take a little more.
Sorry.”
Luriel had said that the sap was the tree’s nutrients to help it grow, so Bunny shouldn’t take too much.
She could only use the Pong-pong magic three times per tree.
Since there weren’t many trees left to use, Bunny knew she’d need to find a new way to make money soon with the savings she’d collected.
Just as Bunny, sitting on the ground, carefully closed the lid of the bottles and put them in her rabbit bag, she leaped to her feet.
“Hello, little one.”
“Hyaa!”
Startled by the sudden voice, Bunny jumped and wobbled.
“Oh dear, careful…”
A long, strong arm reached out and gently steadied Bunny.
Hiccup!
Hiccup!
“Y-your Grace…?”
Bunny’s mouth gaped open.
“What are you doing out here so late at night…?”
The soft, sleepy voice whispered in Bunny’s ear.
Bunny gulped and glanced around nervously.
‘I was told to keep my magic a secret…!’
What should I do?
With trembling eyes, Bunny looked at Kiriel, who was standing nearby.
His eyes curved into a soft smile.
“I, I couldn’t sleep, so I went for a walk!”
“A walk?”
“Yes!”
Kiriel silently looked at Bunny for a long moment.
Her eyes darted around, unsure of where to look, and her throat moved as she gulped repeatedly.
Eventually, Kiriel chuckled and nodded.
“I see…”
He didn’t ask anything further.
Bunny’s expression slowly relaxed with relief.
“But it’s dangerous to be out alone this late.
You shouldn’t do this again.”
“Yes!
I won’t do it again!”
Bunny answered energetically.
Kiriel chuckled softly and patted her head a few times.
‘People always seem happy when I answer well!’
Bunny’s cheeks blushed slightly from the praise.
“I’ll walk you back.
Let’s go.”
“Bunny can do it alone!”
“But I want to take you.
Don’t you want me to?”
Bunny paused, her eyes widening, then shook her head.
“I like it!”
“Come on.”
Kiriel took Bunny’s hand and walked her back at a leisurely pace.
Soon, they arrived at the trial mansion, and Kiriel released Bunny’s hand in front of her door.
‘He didn’t see anything, right?’
Bunny let out a small sigh of relief and tried to slip through the slightly open door.
“Bunny.”
“Yes?”
Kiriel Yudia smiled softly, as usual, his voice filled with a gentle tone.
“Do you know how to use magic?”
Boom!
Flash!
Once again, thunder and lightning struck around Bunny.
Her mouth dropped open.
With trembling eyes, she stammered.
“N-no…?
Bunny doesn’t know anything about Pong-pong magic…?”
Kiriel Yudia’s lips curved into a faint smile.
Bunny nervously glanced around, swallowing hard.
Her eyelids fluttered in distress.
“I see.
I must have been mistaken.
Go inside and sleep.”
“Y-yes!
Good night!”
Bunny hurriedly gave her usual strange farewell, dashed inside, and quickly locked the door behind her.
Kiriel Yudia quietly stared at the door Bunny had disappeared behind, narrowing his eyes.
The Yudia family couldn’t use magic.
On the contrary, magicians couldn’t use divine power.
The two powers couldn’t coexist.
Moreover, the orb used in the Yudia family’s summoning ritual only reacted if the person had no divine power.
Therefore, someone with divine power shouldn’t be able to use magic.
But Bunny used both.
It was an impossible thing.
Well, almost impossible—except for one person in history.
“What is she?”
Kiriel Yudia narrowed his eyes, stroking his chin as he slowly turned away.
