---
In the capital there were enough outstanding pharmacists, but Eileen immediately understood that Glenda had in view exactly her.
On that there was a reason.
Glenda not only herself loved to study science, but also with pleasure communicated with new people, exchanging knowledge.
She supported connections with many in the sphere of pharmacology, and all known capital pharmacists were acquainted with her.
No one refused from communication with an authority in pharmacy, all willingly established acquaintances.
However there was one person with whom Glenda thus also didn't manage to adjust contact.
"I several times sent letters, but an answer thus also didn't receive.
Possibly, they didn't reach, therefore, since I’ve arrived in the capital, I want to try to meet personally."
This person was Eileen.
When Eileen first received a letter from Glenda in the laboratory on the second floor of the hotel, she thought that it was a dream.
For she was not such as a known pharmacist that such letters were written to her.
Although she and was gladdened that Glenda turned attention to her, how could she boldly answer, having unexpectedly dropped study?
Eileen quietly put the letter away in a drawer.
Then, not having received an answer, she decided that on this all ended.
But Glenda from that moment continued to follow after Eileen.
"Is it really that in the capital there are few such pharmacists?
Insofar as I know, on Benyu Street too there is..."
Eileen cautiously hinted at another pharmacist.
But Glenda sharply frowned and seriously countered:
"Absolutely not."
Glenda with heat explained why this pharmacist is unique.
All began from that which one capital aristocrat turned to her for advice by the motive of an incurable illness.
Glenda, as a master of pharmacology, tried to help, following his persistent requests to ease the sufferings of his spouse, but thus and couldn't solve the problem.
When she almost lost hope, to her they reported that they’d found a pharmacist capable to prepare an analgesic.
Naturally, this evoked in Glenda an enormous interest.
*‘Count Domenico.’*
Count Domenico, chairman of the senate, regularly bought medicines from Eileen for his wife suffering from an incurable illness.
It looks like, before as turning to Eileen, he connected with Glenda.
The connection between them arose in a completely unexpected way.
"Since then I set about to learn about that pharmacist." Glenda put on the table a small glass jar.
"Glance at this."
In the jar lay small tablets.
Eileen scarcely restrained a shuddering body.
*‘This is after all mine medicine!’*
These were tablets for headache which Luca, the watchmaker from Benyu Street, regularly bought from her.
Since the remedy was effective, Eileen had many regular clients.
Apparently, Glenda received the medicine from someone from them.
At the sight of the tablets for headache Elio, until this only inserting remarks, suddenly was enlivened and interfered in the conversation.
"They are made from willow bark!
You would have known how I was surprised when I first saw them!"
Medicinal plants were one of the themes which Elio researched together with Glenda.
That one calmed him, having been too carried away, and continued calmly:
"I very much wanted to show to you this medicine, Eileen-nim.
Sure, you, as a specialist, will value its proper way.
If honestly, I gathered to ask you about support, although this is quite unceremonious."
"Eileen-nim.
This medicine will bring benefit to all humanity."
Glenda and Elio were obsessed with a mission.
They felt that they were obliged to tell the world about these tablets.
They entreated for support, convinced that the help of the Grand Duchess will become a deciding factor in their aspiration to make the medicine accessible for all.
Eileen, by turn looking at the inspired professors, embarrassedly spoke:
"Regaring that pharmacist..."
Glenda and Elio directed at her brilliant gazes.
Their eyes as-if asked: *‘You know something?’*
"Insofar as I know, he now doesn't accept new clients.
Only regular buyers receive medicines through the owner of the hotel..."
"What?
Why?!"
"Maybe, something happened with him?"
Before their ever more serious faces Eileen wavered.
"Well... that is..." How thus to say this?
After martyring thoughts Eileen reddened and confessed: "Because she became the Grand Duchess..."
The mouths of Glenda and Elio at once opened.
Eileen embarrassedly blinked.
She hadn't planned to reveal that all this time herself prepared and sold medicines.
She considered that she didn't deserve such recognition.
It was shameful to her to call herself a pharmacist, for she didn't even finish university, therefore always said that she has a "laboratory," and not a pharmacy.
The majority of clients themselves called her a pharmacist, herself she rarely used this title.
But, should she leave all as it is, Glenda and Elio, it seemed, were ready to pursue her to the edges of the empire.
She had to confess all.
Having heard the truth, the professors for a moment were mute.
They froze, all still with shocked faces.
And when they came to themselves, first thing set about to remember about God.
"Lord right!"
And here same set about to speak without stopping.
Both were so much excited that, it seems, they were ready to bent over the table to Eileen.
They showered with delights, amazement, joy, praises and questions.
In the tea-house it was quite crowded.
People, from the very beginning having glanced in their direction, now generally openly stared.
Eileen completely didn't expect such a stormy reaction and reddened yet stronger.
"Er...
Maybe, let's return to the residence?"
To avoid superfluous attention, she suggested to return to the residence of the Grand Duke.
Glenda and Elio right up to the very boarding into the carriage stuck to Eileen from both sides, not ceasing to chatter.
Even in the carriage they seated her between themselves and, it seemed, were just about to shower with questions.
Fortunately, Eileen again sat in the carriage with Lucio.
"Didn't think that thus it would turn out." Eileen muttered, but Lucio didn't answer.
She stealthily looked at him.
His face was impassive.
*‘Maybe, tired?’* He also in the tea-house was silent, so this was fully possible.
She didn't set about to trouble him and sank into thought whether all is in order with the rooms for guests prepared in the residence.
"I thought, if I will try, I will be able to change the situation." Unexpectedly Lucio spoke.
Eileen turned around: his face was tense.
But, having met with her gaze, he suddenly smiled as-if nothing happened.
"Eileen-nim, you have broken away far ahead.
There where I can't reach...
You have gone too far."
He spoke with a soft smile, as-if joking, but in his words was glimpsed some kind of icy note.
However this strange sensation quickly vanished, and Eileen thought that, maybe, it seemed to her.
Lucio cheerfully chattered with her as-if nothing happened.
When they arrived at the residence, he here same went out from the carriage first.
Then, to accompany Eileen, went around her and himself opened the door, stretching out a hand.
Eileen took his hand and went out.
"Thank you, senpai."
She smiled and thanked him, and then glanced at the mansion.
She expected that she’d be met by Sogno or other servants, but at the entrance stood a completely unexpected person.
"Cesare-nim!"
Gripped by joy, Eileen herself didn't notice how she widely smiled and called his name.
Judging by all, he too recently had returned and was still in uniform.
*‘What suddenly today brought him home so early?
And he even went out to meet me.’* Usually Cesare returned late by night or by morning.
Even in the rare days when he came earlier, he was occupied with work in the study.
That which he went out to meet her surprised and gladdened her simultaneously.
Eileen already gathered to run to him, but...
"?"
Lucio firmly squeezed her hand.
