Calen Castle
–
The man at the head of the long procession blew on the dark blond hair that reached down to his mouth and covered one eye, bowing gracefully.
Faced with the peacock-like man's exaggerated greeting, which at first glance gave a different impression from the servants and maids, the prince twitched his mouth.
Juliet couldn't suppress her curiosity about who he was as she packed a box of tea.
“Marquis Oswald, long time no see.
You are still scandalous.”
“No, it’s not scandalous, Your Highness.
This Oswald is deeply hurt.
You don't know how much I worked for my beauty and elegance.
Beauty is never obtained by anything.
Mm-hmm?
I've never seen her before.”
Philip Leslie Oswald raised his hand rudely to Adam and looked curiously at Juliet stepping out of the wagon for the last time, dangling a precious box of tea at her side.
“But, Your Highness, where did you abandon Jeff?”
“I didn’t abandon him.
He had a little accident on the way, so I sent him to Vicern for treatment.”
“So this remarkable lady is serving Your Highness?
Is she working temporarily?
She looks very interesting.
Can I hire this maid when Jeff gets back?”
At Marquis Oswald's words, Adam gently shook his head, but Oswald advanced towards Juliet without a care.
“Well, you look very unique.
Why did your head look like that?
Did you have big problems growing up?”
Juliet was startled and turned away from the strange man who was looking at her with his soft chocolate eyes up close.
When the marquis approached her and took her glasses, Killian scolded him: “The marquis, I don't think it's time to show interest in my maid.
Isn’t there something I need to hear about the guests who are now at the castle?”
The marquis followed him and responded quickly while Killian looked at Juliet, who had taken another step back from Oswald.
The men passed through the courtly crowd with their heads bowed and headed towards the entrance of the main castle.
“Oh, that's right, that's right.
Now this Calen Castle is so busy because of the sudden arrival of guests.
A series of very complicated situations happened in sequence.
As soon as he heard that after the arrival of Marquis Anais and his daughter, Prince Francis would come, Count Adam fled without looking back, so Count Valerian and I had to take care of everything in the country.”
Julieta flinched when she heard the words “Marquis Anais”, but no one noticed.
Dressed in a dark green jacket, the peacock-like Marquis Oswald raised his hands, looking exaggeratedly at the sky.
“Your Highness, you have to scold Adam.
This Oswald, strongly armed with health, almost died from overwork.
But who am I?
I am your right-hand man who can handle things with my handsome appearance and splendid eloquence in case of crisis.
I could cook those Austern nobles with one hand, until the Dowager Viscountess showed up.”
“Oh, I suppose you would have been so good.” Killian, who agreed enthusiastically inwardly with the words of the over-talking marquis, stopped in his tracks at the words 'the dowager viscountess'.
“Who is this?”
“His current lover, the Dowager Viscountess of the Kingdom of Lebatum.”
When Oswald said this, Killian's eyes turned to his own maid unknowingly, who had been following him silently.
A few days ago, after his private life was revealed in a carriage, he started to think differently about the servants and maids who were like furniture in a room and who he didn't care about.
And, strangely, he was reluctant about the women he had brought to meet Juliet.
When Juliet, who didn't know why Killian was looking, looked at him, Adam coughed loudly.
It was a brief moment in a few seconds, but Oswald, who noticed something, looked at Adam deliberately.
Soon, a river of sighs came out of the blond and flashy Marquis's mouth.
“Oh my!
I never thought something more complicated could happen here.
I must offer my deepest condolences to Count Valerian, who is now tearing his hair out between the two women.”
Ignoring Oswald, who clasped his hands behind his back, distracted in place and sighing, Killian began to look for Albert among the carriages that followed.
“Albert!
Albert!”The servants and maids, who lined up, were stunned with astonishment at the shout of the returning owner, and the nervous knights actively surrounded him.
“Your Highness, let’s go in now.
I will bring Sir Albert as soon as he arrives.”
While Adam looked back and advised, Oswald also helped.
“Yes, Your Majesty.
Count Valerian is dying to deal with Lady Anais and the Dowager Viscountess, who would like to come and greet you as soon as you arrive.
How difficult it must be to deal with both of them with their blunt personality!
This Oswald begs you to come in and make your decision on how to deal with this and save the poor count from the depths of hell.”
Juliet was surprised to see the dashing blond man talking constantly despite the Prince's anger.
She felt like she had been walking on ice these past few days because of her employer, who had kept some distance from her after Beopash.
Although she had even begged for forgiveness for her mistake, she felt a little disappointed at the idea that he might still be upset.
However, upon arriving at Castle Calen, she realized that she was under a great illusion.
This happened because she forgot the status of her employer, who was royalty, and felt comfortable for a while.
Seeing so many people bowing to a single Prince, she discovered who she worked very well for.
She was starting to feel a little depressed and worried about whether she would be able to hold her own in this job.
But when she saw the man who was constantly chattering like a peacock, she felt strangely energized.
A man like that didn't fit into a rigid and formal atmosphere seemed to be saying, 'You can stay here,' to herself, who was lost because she felt like she was somewhere she shouldn't be.
Juliet raised her head confidently.
There would be no reason for her not to work if that kind of man worked as a close aide to the Prince.
With the peacock's words, it seemed that the prince's last lover, who bothered her so much, had come to this place.
If she took over duty in the prince's bedchamber again, she would have to go through all the complaining and grumbling from the dowager viscountess who slapped her in the face.
Killian looked at Juliet and sighed, thinking, I'm comfortable, but now it's over, and ordered Adam: "Bring Albert immediately as soon as he arrives."

“…Then the Marquis and Viscountess Morbido’s groups will stay at Rezen Castle.
When Prince Francis arrives, he must go to Nas Castle, and when the other nobles arrive, they will be taken to Lona Castle, and inevitably, both groups will have to be led to Rezen Castle.
Thanks to that, every day is a war.”
Oswald sighed in exaggeration, and after finishing his speech, he didn't care about the eyes of others looking at him, but raised the cup in front of him and smelled it gracefully.
Killian's cold eyes were focused on Albert.
“Albert, how did you manage all this?
Didn’t you make that clear to the Viscountess?”
Albert began to complain, wiping away the sweat he didn't have with his handkerchief: “Your Highness, I told her several times and in fact conveyed her wishes and sent a large parting gift to Morbido's mansion.
But, as always, I have no way to control the reckless behavior of those who are unwilling to accept their intentions.”
When the prince declared the last time, most of the women insistently demanded a meeting because they could not accept the separation.
There were those who looked for him everywhere he could go, and he even camped in front of the Bertino mansion on Harrods Street.
When the prince, who had ignored them completely and regardless of their wait, visited Harrods Street again to meet his new lover, the grueling wait and prolonged pain would come to an end.
