“Who is she?” He muttered and thought about the last words in her letter.
She was quite brave in that letter and he needed a bride.
She fit the requirements perfectly and the timing was right.
Milo informed him that Ilyin had been quite logical in convincing him.
She had mysteriously delved into the secret of Biflten, but came to this distant land only to get married.
Although she desired the title of duchess, Biflten did not socialize with the Empire, so the title was of no use in that way.
‘What does she want?’ Aden thought that only the Imperial family would be dissatisfied enough to do something, as they disliked Biflten and bowed down to them for generations.
However, things were too loose for her to be an assassin as the Imperial family could do things much more efficiently.
“Milo.” He summoned.
The merchant, who was waiting outside, entered
“I await your orders.”
“Bring the bride” Aden said, placing the letter in the drawer.
Milo spoke in surprise:
“We still don’t know her, nor do we know where she got the information.”
“That’s why we’re bringing her in.” Aden smiled like a lion.
While he seemed relaxed, things could completely change if he saw prey.
Milo bowed to his master and left to carry out his orders.
Aden stood up.
He didn't back down from the challenges and would find out how she knew about Ecid and Biflten.
His decision to come to Biflten was welcomed, as Aden of Biflten's homeland was here.
***
The day Aden met his bride, he was on a battlefield.
“Sir, the enemies are coming!” Aden held his sword.
The monsters that came to the Biflten castle walls were monsters from a large herd in this area.
The red-scaled Mollies had long been enemies of the Biflten family, and although they were not intelligent, they fought well.
‘Mollies, when is the bride coming?!’
The elders of the three families, who did not know how to hold a sword, thought the same thing when they heard that the Mollies were coming.
“What are the Delrose Knights doing?” One of the elders shouted.
They were killing the monsters that the knights from the other three families were avoiding.
While their job was to separate the monsters before they became a powerful herd, the assigned knights weren't doing their jobs.
“The Blue North cannot agree to the succession ceremony when the leader cannot protect his people!” He continued.
“Bright Elo agrees,” said another elder.
The Green Mille elder nodded.
The three elders could pressure Red Delrose only in the succession ceremony that had to be held every three years.
The ceremony was the reason for all this trouble.
They always said the same thing in this ceremony, that the Divine Objects the three elders had were necessary for succession.
Aden swung his sword, thinking he could contain his anger with it, which made him practice frequently.
However, he had to burn the source of his anger and raised an elbow to attack a monster:
“You dare to provoke the Biflten family in the winterlands!” Aden's voice was angry, there was a reason why the Biflten family owned these lands.
He slammed his sword on the ground and the tall piles of snow disappeared in an instant, white steam rose and the cold of Biflten turned people's breath to ice.
Aden was surrounded by a vapor that filled the space like his anger and at that moment, a monster pounced on him, as his instinct told him that a knight without his sword was easy prey.
However, the monster collapsed when it encountered heat, unable to attack Aden.
Only the duke who had completed his succession ceremony could withstand the cold in Biflten.
The monsters started talking to each other.
“Isn’t he a Delrose knight?” One of them asked.
Aden had heard that monsters couldn't talk in the Empire, so their talk scared him.
He watched them warily, gripping his sword tightly until his knuckles turned white.
“The leader of the Delrose knights is the Duke?” Another monster asked, his voice was deep and rough.
Aden heard the monsters reveal their secret.
He wasn't in a hurry, because the mollies would be buried in the snow tomorrow.
He raised his sword again, angrily.
“Sir, I see a carriage!” shouted a knight.
He was killing the mollies around him when Knight Delrose shouted.
He looked up, seeing a simple carriage approaching in the distance.
“You are being chased!” The knight shouted above the noise of battle.
Mollies were behind them.
Aden's lips opened:
"Idith!
Which way is this carriage taking?"
The Red Delrose ruled this area and the carriage appeared to be running using the estate's carriage path.
Mollies blocked the way, and although the castle walls were impenetrable, this was an invasion.
The carriage stopped in the snow and Aden could vaguely make out the rider, who appeared to be a Northern Blue, but Aden swerved and looked again, saw as the man began to fight the mollies.
He seemed capable and there was no reason to rescue a Blue North's carriage.
However, Aden's head turned again in a sharp scream.
His eyes focused on the carriage and the door opened as someone jumped out, looked around briefly and started running towards him.
