There was chaos in front of the professor's office.
Iserella, her hair disheveled and the buttons on her clothes torn, stands, panting in anger.
On the other side, Irene was staring at Ezerella in almost the same miserable state.
But, compared to Evie, they were in relatively elegant condition.
Evie was standing behind Irene, cradling a dirty paper box, wrinkled in several places, and trembling.
Her hair was messy, and the buttons on her school jacket were blown off, making her look shabby.
But what was even more painful than that was Evie's face.
Her little cheeks were decorated with clear red handprints, and her nose and lips were smeared with blood.
“She's a thief, I tell you!”
Eserella abandoned her last shred of tact and pointed at Evie angrily as she shouted.
Irene responded, protecting Evie with her body, screaming forcefully:
"Who did this without evidence?! And on top of that, you come together to beat someone like that? Are you all crazy?"
Irene screamed louder than Izerella, making the students who had participated in beating Evie back away trembling.
“You, don't you know what happens according to the rules of the academy if you hit another student? And five of you against a seven-year-old girl!”
Irene trembled as she screamed, her eyes red.
But it was not from sadness, but from anger that she could not contain.
Izerella had suddenly come to Evie, demanding that she hand over something unprovoked.
She then saw the box Evie was carrying, claimed she was hiding something inside and tried to snatch it.
Evie clung to the box with all her might, but Izerella failed to extract it, and in a moment of anger, she slapped Evie's face.
Her big hand caused little Eppie's nose to bleed.
At that moment, Irene jumped up, grabbed Ezerella by the hair, and pulled her away from Evie.
Iserella responded to Irene's words with even greater arrogance:
“That only applies to students. She is a thief! That means expulsion! If she is expelled, what difference does it make if we beat her? Once she loses her status as a student in the academy, she will be nothing but a beggar from the orphanage!”
“Watch your words!”
“It's you who should think carefully! If you continue to protect a thief, you will be punished along with her!”
Iserella screamed in anger, then turned to the students surrounding her and shouted:
"You all saw! You see! That box that Evie Alden has! I'm sure she hid everything in it!"
Then, behind Irene, Eppie shook her head.
"No! I didn't take anything."
"You're lying! So, show us that box!"
At Ezerella's request, Evie clutched the box to her chest tighter.
Seeing this, Izerella made a “I knew” expression, while Irene almost exploded in anger.
“How did it come to this?”
Irene was studying in the cafeteria when she was suddenly barged in by a group of screaming students.
They said that Iserella had gone to catch a thief.
“His thief?”
"Last time, Selena said she lost a bracelet, didn't she? She looked for it all day and made a commotion. It seems Izerella knows who stole it."
"Who is he?"
“Evie Alden, that little one. Now the place they are in is a mess.”
Upon hearing this, Irene immediately got up.
Since the previous major clash, Izerella had been quiet.
Or rather, she was not so much calm as she was broken-winged after her defeat.
Irene didn't care about her, and thanks to Arcel and Luska, her reputation improved significantly.
The students who were ignoring Irene started bowing and greeting her first.
Every time Iserella saw this, she would stare at them for a long time in silence before leaving.
But that was all she could do.
So, Irene thought things would stay calm without problems, but suddenly Eppie is accused of stealing?
"Has she really gone mad? I won't leave her!"
Irene asked the student who told her about the place, then she ran there.
When I arrived at the building, the students who had heard the news had already gathered.
"Get away! Get away!"
As she made her way among them, Irene saw Evie curled up, cradling her trunk, while the students were kicking her.
At that moment, she lost her nerve. Irene ran and bumped her body into the student who was kicking IBF.
Then she pulled the others' hair and kicked them with her feet.
She didn't care about her image or anything else.
"These? They're gathering to beat up someone? And Evie in particular?"
Although she attacked Evie, these girls were essentially aristocratic daughters who grew up in a spoiled environment.
When they were kicked and pushed to the ground, they could not bear it and began to cry and fall back.
And so things came to this point.
“Evie.”
Irene suppressed her urge to scream and called out to him softly.
“This box, can’t you show them?”
It was very simple. All she has to do is open the paper cover and prove that what they are looking for is not inside.
But Evie was adamantly refusing to show the box.
Because of that, the gazes of the surrounding students became more intense.
“If you haven't stolen, there's nothing stopping you from showing it, right?”
“Right. Just show it with confidence.”
Her reserved attitude made people think she was hiding something stolen.
Buoyed by the encouragement of the others, Iserella once again tried to snatch the box from Evie.
But Irene stood in her way again.
“I have to deal with Irene first.”
Without that, things won't progress.
Iserella arranged her hair and clothes.
She looked around, noticing that the commotion had attracted a large crowd of students.
“That's enough.”
She needed as many witnesses as possible. People see, hear and spread rumours.
Suddenly, the students moved and split into two sides.
Izerella looked to see who had come, and it was Arcel and Lusca.
"What a mess...what is this? Evie?"
Lusca's expression froze when he saw the situation.
“Who did this?”
With his low voice, the surrounding students took a step back, trembling.
Loska was always cheerful and joking.
He never raised his voice or reprimanded another student.
So, this was the first time the students heard his angry voice.
"Evie? Irene?"
He was followed by Arcel, who was in the same condition.
He didn't ask more.
He approached Evie directly, helped her stand, and wiped the blood from her face with his shirt sleeve.
When Iserella saw the two protecting Evie upon their arrival, she shouted loudly for everyone to hear:
"Don't be fooled! Not only did she steal, she also lied about her guardian!"
“Her guardian?”
“Yes! She said that Professor Sian Ruochen is her guardian.”
“What's wrong with that, Miss Iserella?”
Arcel replied coldly.
When Arcel and Lusca showed hostility towards her, Iserella spoke quickly:
“The professor who frequents the academy as Ivy Alden's guardian is a fake!”
Her words made everyone wonder what she was talking about.
Fake professor?
“I followed him for a few days and saw him. The young man using this office is said to be Professor Xian Ruochen.”
At this point, Iserella glared at Evie angrily.
She was trembling behind Irene, Arcel, and Lusca, which seemed to Izerella a disgusting act.
“Big lie and she pretends to be the victim.”
How can you pretend to be innocent as if you don't know anything?
Iserella was the victim. She sacrificed her reputation to expose this orphan's lies, and now she suffers.
If the situation continues like this, Arcel and Luska will become increasingly alienated from her.
So, she had to quickly expose the fake professor to everyone.
Isirella shouted to Eppie again:
“Don't try to lie that it's not true! I followed that fake professor for a few days and saw him!”
Lusca interjected:
"Now, I'm a little confused. Are you saying that the professor who uses this office is a fake professor?"
“Yes! I checked myself. Professor Sian Ruochen is not in the capital currently. Due to his illness, he returned to his hometown a long time ago. He is seventy years old! My two brothers verified his identity and even his family. I swear on our family’s name!”
Ezerella spoke very confidently, which confused Eppie.
“No! Dean Seraphina herself delivered my letters to him...”
“Another lie! Do you think the dean has free time to do such things?”
“I'm not lying!”
This time, Evie couldn't stand the silence and screamed.
Suddenly, heavy footsteps were heard from behind the students.
The students thought that an academy employee had come, but when they turned around, they saw a tall man with a sullen face.
He did not say a word, just advanced slowly, but his prestige made everyone step back and make way for him.
His handsome face was a stranger to the academy, so the students began whispering about his identity.
Then, seeing him, Evie screamed:
“Professor Sian!”
